Network communication in //Microsoft Windows// operating systems is usually controlled by firewall. Some antivirus systems may control network communication as well. To troubleshoot communication problems, please verify that it is not blocked.

In the case, that //T3C Service// is installed on your computer, it must be running. In the case, that //T3C Service// is installed on server, verify that it is running there.

==== T3C Service as Windows service ====
If //T3C Service// was installed as //Windows service//, it is started automatically after installation or restart of computer. Please verify that it is running:
  * Using //Windows Task Manager// - in process view search for //T3CSvc.exe//
  * Using //Windows Local Services management// - search for //T3C Service//, ensure it is running

==== T3C Service running as application ====

As of version 12, it is not possible to install //T3C Service// as an application. The following procedure only applies to older versions.

If //T3C Service// was not installed as //Windows service//, it is being used as standard Windows application. You can run it by:
  * Double clicking //T3C Service// icon on desktop
  * From //Windows Start menu//, selecting //T3C Teleradiology Communication Centre/T3C Service//
If the private key of //T3C Service// is protected by an passphrase, it must be entered at a startup. Verify that the application is running:
  * Using //Windows Task Manager// - in process view search for //T3CSvc.exe//
  * In Windows notification area, there shall be the icon of //T3C Service//

===== T3C Console =====
Run //Console// by:
  * Clicking on //T3C Console// icon on desktop
  * Selecting //Windows// start menu - //TomoCon Communication Centre (T3C)/Console//

The state of //T3C system// is indicated via connection icon in the right part of //T3C Console// status bar:
