Verifying T3C system functionality
T3C Console communicates with T3C Service via network interface. The same way T3C Service communicates with T3C Server via network interface connected to Internet. Network communication in Microsoft Windows operating systems is usually controlled by firewall. Some antivirus systems may control network communication as well. To troubleshoot communication problems, please verify that it is not blocked.
Communication port for T3C Service is 803.
Communication ports for T3C Server are 80 and 443.
T3C Service
In the case, that T3C Service is installed on your computer, it must be running. In the case, that T3C Service is installed on server, verify that it is running there.
T3C Service as Windows service
If T3C Service was installed as Windows service, it is started automatically after installation or restart of computer. Please verify that it is running:
- Using Windows Task Manager - in process view search for T3CSvc.exe
- Using Windows Local Services management - search for T3C Service, ensure it is running
T3C Service running as application
As of version 12, it is not possible to install T3C Service as an application. The following procedure only applies to older versions.
If T3C Service was not installed as Windows service, it is being used as standard Windows application. You can run it by:
- Double clicking T3C Service icon on desktop
- From Windows Start menu, selecting T3C Teleradiology Communication Centre/T3C Service
If the private key of T3C Service is protected by an passphrase, it must be entered at a startup. Verify that the application is running:
- Using Windows Task Manager - in process view search for T3CSvc.exe
- In Windows notification area, there shall be the icon of T3C Service
T3C Console
Run Console by:
- Clicking on T3C Console icon on desktop
- Selecting Windows start menu - TomoCon Communication Centre (T3C)/Console
The state of T3C system is indicated via connection icon in the right part of T3C Console status bar:
- system is functional, communication with T3C Server is established
- T3C Console is communicating with T3C Service however there is no connection with T3C Server, in this case please follow troubleshooting T3C Server connection issues
- T3C Console has no connection with T3C Service, in this case please follow troubleshooting T3C Service connection issues
